I cannot believe that I am finished. Shelley, this has been a wonderful course and I have learned so much.  I am planning to set up a staff development wiki which will help teachers learn new things in small bites. I think I will also use Jing to create “how to” videos and I am excited about it.

I currently belong to about 6 different educational social networks and I have found them to be very useful when I have a technology to research. It is a great place to share resources and get new and wonderful ideas.

I have had a PageFlakes account for quite some time. I am not sure if I like PageFlakes better or my iGoogle page. I think I would use PageFlakes more with our students.

I can see that Google Docs will be a wonderful communication tool for our teachers, parents and tech friends. What a wonderful way to share collaborative documents. I will use it for staff dev. signups, course trainings, and even with parents at the laptop rollout event.

I love using the instructional videos that I find in YouTube and Teacher Tube and this summer Lisa and I are putting together several internet safety/digital literacy videos that we have found to begin work on mini-sessions for the advisor period for middle schoolers.

Exploring the various repository sites of podcasts was interesting. My favorites include: David Warlick’s Education Podcast Network, the NPR podcasts and the video podcasts.

I can see some wonderful applications in the history and science classroom after exploring some wonderful podcasts that really explained the material. I would also love to post a weekly morning news show podcast one day on our website.

I can see how folks can really get motivated to keep their goals by keeping track of it on this site. The most interesting thing to me is the support that so many people are getting to continue working toward their goal. I made may list and then changed it quite a few times as I looked over other suggested list items.

This is cool!
